Duets is a collection of ambient songs sharing a common theme of being recorded with 2 sound sources: Pedalboard and synthesizer. Locked together with an Akai MPC One, Samples and phrases were recorded into the pedalboard with various loopers. One simple chord progression or melody was sequenced and sent to a synthesizer, and the combination was played much like a modular synth. Each track was performed live and recorded into my Teenage Engineering OP1. The mixes were edited and mastered in Ableton Live.
