Scott Meister This album is the perfect thing to listen to while laying down in the back-yard or on the roof while looking up at the stars, and contemplating life. Heartwarming sounds and signals that stimulate the mind, Moon Songs is a soundtrack for the stars and blinking lights at night. It's hard to pick a favorite track...so I'm leaning toward just getting yourself comfortable and listening to the whole thing uninterrupted. "The View From Above" is a nice pay-off for doing so.

Moon Songs is a collection of tracks created with a system of Eurorack modular synth, Effects pedal board, Sequential Circuits Prophet 5 and Korg Prologue synthesizers, all synced together via MIDI and CV. It’s a system I created in 2020, in hopes of playing live performances with it. Since then, the system has grown to include other elements, but I’ve mostly used it for recording, as the pandemic has made it difficult to play live.

These songs depict a sense of reflection inside a solitary, lonely space. Dark melodies play inside fractured sequences and failed radio transmissions. I think these tracks are perfect for an end of Winter release- A last splash of contemplative isolation before the Summer fun begins.

The artwork is derived from a photo taken from Lunar Orbiter 1 on August 23rd 1966. It’s the first photo of Earth as seen from lunar orbit. In 2008, this image was restored by the Lunar Orbiter Image Recovery Project using the original tape drives and modern electronics.

Thank you for listening, and I hope you enjoy-
